Privacy Policy

BigTick Digital Pty Ltd ("BigTick", "we", "us") provides the BigTick management-system software and website at bigtick.io. This policy explains how we handle personal information, and reflects our obligations under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).
1. Information we collect
- Account information — your name, email address and password (stored only as a secure hash) when you create an account.
- Organisation information — details you enter to build your management system, such as company name, ABN, industry, locations, team members and the content of your documents and registers.
- Billing information — plan selection and subscription status. Card payments are processed by Stripe; we do not store your full card details.
- Usage and technical data — log data such as IP address, browser type and pages accessed, used to operate and secure the service.
- Enquiries — information you provide when you contact us, including via our contact form.
2. How we use your information
- To create and run your account and generate your management system.
- To provide, maintain, secure and improve the service.
- To process subscriptions and send service-related and transactional emails.
- To respond to your enquiries and provide support.
- To meet our legal and regulatory obligations.
3. Service providers and disclosure
We share personal information only as needed to run the service, with providers bound to protect it, including:
- Supabase — database, authentication and file storage.
- Netlify — website and application hosting.
- Stripe — payment processing.
- Resend — transactional email delivery.
We do not sell your personal information. We may disclose information where required by law or to protect our rights.
4. Overseas storage
Some of our providers store or process data on servers located outside Australia. Where this occurs we take reasonable steps to ensure your information is handled consistently with the APPs.
5. Data security and retention
We use encryption in transit, access controls and reputable infrastructure providers to protect your information. We retain personal information for as long as your account is active and as needed to comply with our legal obligations. You can export your documents at any time, and they remain yours.
6. Cookies
We use only essential cookies and local storage needed to keep you signed in and to run the application. We do not use third-party advertising trackers.
7. Your rights
You may request access to, or correction of, the personal information we hold about you, and you may ask us to delete your account. To make a request, email hello@bigtick.io.
8. Complaints
If you believe we have mishandled your information, contact us at hello@bigtick.io and we will respond within a reasonable time. If you are not satisfied, you may contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au).
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with a new "last updated" date.
